Known as “La Cave des Frères Grégoire,” Domaine de l’Aiguillette is located in the heart of the Nantes vineyards, just outside of Nantes and close to the historic town of Clisson. Our estate is part of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation, the largest regional sub-appellation of Muscadet. Established in 1936, this AOC is one of the oldest in France. It is the leading appellation in the Loire Valley’s Nantes wine region in terms of surface area and production volume: 6,400 hectares and 425 winemakers. The vineyards are nestled between the Sèvre and Maine rivers, the last two tributaries of the Loire River before it meets the Atlantic Ocean. Our terroir features a rich diversity of soils, including gneiss, orthogneiss, granite, schist, and gabbro.

About the Estate
Welcome to the Domaine de l’Aiguillette website! Located in Mouzillon, in the heart of the Nantes vineyards – a hilly region famous for its white wines – we cultivate sixty hectares of vines within the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation. Nestled between the slopes of Vallet and the historic villages of Clisson, Le Pallet, and Gorges, we tend to twenty vineyard plots, some of which are decades old. Our vines thrive in an exceptional natural environment between the Sèvre and Loire rivers, set within the iconic landscapes of the Loire Valley. Influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Sèvre Nantaise river, our grapes grow in rich, fertile terroir and benefit from a mild, sunny oceanic climate. These are the perfect conditions for crafting high-quality French wines!

Our Grape Varieties and Wines
Melon de Bourgogne is the traditional grape variety of our plots. The Melon B. allows us to produce a Muscadet aged on fine lees in the purest tradition. Its crisp fruitiness and freshness are the perfect match for seafood, shellfish, and fish.
However, on this terroir of metamorphic and plutonic rocks inherited from the Armorican Massif (gabbro, granite, basalt), we also cultivate many other varieties (Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc…) which we use to craft a wide range of wines. These range from dry white wines, of course, to rosé wines, red wines, off-dry wines, and sparkling “fines bulles” that rival the best sparkling wines and Crémants of the Loire Valley.
Tastings All Year Round and Direct Sales
The estate is open all year round to showcase our winemaking expertise and offer you a tasting of our various cuvées so you can choose the wine that suits you best. After tasting, you can buy bottles directly on-site. We also regularly organize events (Open House days…) for convivial moments over a glass of wine at our estate.
